HSE Inspections Campaign 2018

HSE inspectors are undertaking a campaign of inspections from January to March 2018 in the food and drink manufacturing sector. An integral part of this inspection campaign will be bakeries, cake and biscuit manufacturers, and grain mills, focussing on control of exposure to dust, and musculoskeletal risks.

Substances hazardous to health in baking include: flour dust; improver dusts containing enzymes etc; dusts from protein-containing ingredients such as egg, soya; spices, citrus oils and flavour concentrates; cleaning and disinfectant products.
